Kareem Hunt does his best Priest Holmes impression when the Kansas City Chiefs needed it most

Kareem Hunt has been amazing for what the Chiefs have needed from him 

He’s no Priest Holmes or Marcus Allen, and certainly not Jamal Charles, but Hunt has been stellar for the Chiefs this year. He has especially been great when the run game is going well and moving up and down the field. At the time of this writing, Hunt has over 100 scrimmage yards in the game, and KC is now in overtime with the Colts.

Hunt may not be what he used to be when he was with the Chiefs years ago, or even when he was with the Cleveland Browns, but he’s a solid running back. He doesn’t have that burst of speed he used to have, and definitely doesn’t have the same jump cut speed he once did, but Hunt is a power back who doesn’t get denied often in short-yardage situations.

When he’s not in the game, it’s been Clyde Edwards-Helaire or Brashard Smith. Smith doesn’t usually run the ball out of the backfield, as he’s a rookie running back who was once a receiver, and the Chiefs love what he brings to the run game.

Hunt is the bell cow right now with Isaiah Pacheco out, and he’s doing all he can to get his team closer to a win with the season on the line.
