Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is busy getting prepared for the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, but that doesn't mean he can't try to persuade Eagles fans to come to his side.
Taylor Swift and her family, who are from Pennsylvania, will also be in attendance. Taylor's dad is an Eagles fan, too.
However, this is problematic because Swift's dad likely wants the Chiefs to win for Travis, but it is torn due to his love of the Eagles.
For Kelce, he's going to try and convince Swift's dad to support the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
“I don’t know [Taylor] to have the [Eagles] fandom, I know her father has a Philadelphia fandom as an Eagles fan,” Kelce said via NBC's John Clark. “Yeah, she’ll be all for the Chiefs this time around, for sure. I’ll have to ask Scott himself. We haven’t had that [conversation] yet, but I think he’ll be wearing red.”
In truth, either way, Scott (Taylor's dad) will be happy because if the Eagles win, great, that's his team, and if the Chiefs win, he'll be happy for Taylor and Travis, who will no doubt be celebrating hard.
It is a family affair in KC, including Patrick and Brittany's three-week-old daughter, Golden being part of the gathering in New Orleans.
"She’s been amazing, she’s been sleeping well," Mahomes said via Page Six. "Mom’s been extremely happy, and I’m excited for her to be able to come. I think it’ll be her first football game at the Super Bowl, and I hope that we get her a win."
With Patrick's other two children, Bronze and Sterling, both have seen their dad lift the Super Bowl trophy and have been on the field to celebrate with the All-Pro QB, Patrick wanted Golden to experience the same thing.
And Kelce want that experience, too ... with his girlfriend's dad on his side.
But there is a lot that has to happen for the Chiefs to taste Super Bowl glory for a third straight time, and Swift will be cheering on Travis as he attempts to be a part of history in New Orleans.
However, as for trying to get Taylor's father to shift his allegiances? That might be a tough task.
