The Detroit Lions are clearly not feeling the love from the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs, or the referees that covered their contest against the dynasty squad after their Week 6 loss to them.
Well, maybe not all of the Lions feel this way. Maybe it's just Kerby Joseph.
The safety took to social media nearly immediately after the Lions' loss to the Chiefs to vent about the opposing teams' apparently biased whistle. Notably, Kansas City recorded zero penalties on the night against Detroit, whereas the Lions got handed four for a loss of 38 yards total on the evening.
Joseph obviously caught onto that in-game and likely in the postgame after seeing the box score from this loss, and he was sure to express himself on Twitter/X immediately after getting his phone back in the locker room.
Here's one tweet from his page, with a reaction image that clearly shows he's not too sure how this near incompletion from Travis Kelce remained a called catch on the field. This is another, with Kelce not getting called for what looks like a hold as the Chiefs mowed down the Lions en route to a first down on this play.
A few that could land Joseph with a fine, though, include direct references to the referees on the night specifically working in favor of Patrick Mahomes. This is a common talking point amongst fanbases - Mahomes gets a friendly whistle. Most quarterbacks do, but it tends to feel magnified because there's this endless loop of talking about Kansas City always benefitting from ticky-tacky calls in games.

This wasn't the only Mahomes-referee reference made or posted to his timeline following the game. There were three others that don't feel appropriate to share here, but you can probably find in either screenshots or screen recordings if Joseph deletes them ahead of Monday.
Joseph, who finished up the game with four total tackles, is clearly frustrated by what he - and seemingly embroiled safety Brian Branch - felt all game. Missed calls and loose flags can alter the momentum of any game, for any team. Joseph clearly thinks that was the case in this loss, although, referees didn't make offensive coordinator John Morton run an extremely predictable offense against one of the greatest defensive coordinators in the game.
