We are now three seasons into the Kevin O'Connell and Kwesi Adofo-Mensah era with the Minnesota Vikings and things are going spectacularly.
When they inherited a roster and situation that was less than ideal after the 2021 season, both O'Connell and Adofo-Mensah set forth to change the culture within the organization and they've done a fantastic job in doing so. It was a big reason why quarterback Daniel Jones chose to sign with the Vikings.
It speaks to how well the Vikings are run and that's not just translating off the field.
With a 23-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, O'Connell got his 30th win in his short tenure. He is 30-16 through 46 regular season games, which is a very impressive three-year stretch for any head coach, let alone a first-timer.
The win also set a franchise record, as O'Connell became the fastest to get to 30 wins in Vikings' history.
Fastest #Vikings head coaches to 30 regular-season wins:

Kevin O’Connell: 46 games (got win No. 30 today)
Dennis Green: 48 games
Bud Grant: 50 games
Jerry Burns: 51 games
Mike Zimmer: 54 games
O'Connell didn't just set the franchise record, he did it in two less games than Dennis Green and four less games than Bud Grant, who is arguably the most important figure in the history of the Vikings franchise.
Anytime you can do something that Bud didn't accomplish, it's a big deal and O'Connell has the Vikings on the right path.
