Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has made it clear he doesn't care where is ranked among the quarterbacks in the NFL, but he still has the full support of his team.

One topic of discussion over Hurts is the lack of passing he actually did last season as he threw it less than 370 times during the season. There have been questions around whether his passing skills are among the elite.

Eagles fans and the franchise knows how great of a passer he is. Everyone got confirmation of that from Hurts' new offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

Patullo's simple statement on Hurts' ability to throw the football

While speaking with the media, Patullo shared his quick statement on Hurts and his passing abilities that have been questioned throughout the offseason by the media.

“He’s becoming a really complete player in the pass game.”

This really shouldn't be news to anyone, but some in the media might have forgotten how good Hurts can throw the football. Eagles reporters have not reported many incompletions from Hurts during offseason workouts and training camp.

His 2024 statistics also demonstrate his exceptional decision-making abilities. He completed 68.7% his passes and had a passer rating of 103.7. He had a career-best 13.4% of his passes being considered bad passes.

While Hurts should have nothing to prove, there's still a sense that he has to show more this season than in the past. All the questions surrounding his passing abilities need to be addressed with more play calls with passes.

Patullo also told the media that he will be making play calls from the sidelines, which will be good for him and Hurts. They will be able to address any concerns and provide coaching right on the sidelines, discussing the game plan.

The Eagles' offense should look the same in 2025 as they did for the Super Bowl run, but expect more passes being called. Hurts so far looks like he's in midseason form.
