The San Francisco 49ers improved to 3-0 on the season after a 16-15 Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

- San Francisco has started the regular season 3-0 for the 10th time in franchise history and for the third time since 2019 (2019 & 2023).
- The Niners have won six of the previous 10 matchups against the Cardinals, including three of the last five matchups at Levi's Stadium.
- The 49ers are now 37-31 all-time against the Cardinals, including a 21-15 record at home.
Dramatic Finish
- The 49ers defeated the Cardinals 16-15 after a 35-yd. FGA by K Eddy Piñeiro as time expired. It marked the first time that the 49ers won a game after trailing with less than 10 seconds left in regulation since former K Robbie Gould converted on a 30-yd. FGA as time expired at NO (12/8/19).
Time of Possession
- San Francisco held the ball for 25:21, compared to Arizona's 34:39. It marked the first time since 12/17/23 at Arz. (25:49-34:11) that the 49ers won despite having the ball for less time than their opponent.
QB Mac Jones
- QB Mac Jones completed 27 of his 41 passing atts. for 284 yds. and 1 TD with a passer rating 83.8. His passing TD marked his 4th of the season and the 58th of his career.
- With 279 passing yds. last week at NO (9/14/25) and 284 passing yds. on the day, it marks the 3rd time in Jones' career that he has thrown for 250-or-more yds. in back-to-back games and the first time he has done so since the 2022 season when he was a member of the New England Patriots [252 passing yds. at Pit. (9/18/22); 321 passing yds. vs. Bal. (9/25/22)].
RB Christian McCaffrey
- RB Christian McCaffrey registered 17 carries for 52 yds. on the ground to go along with 10 recepts. for 88 yds. through the air.
- His 88 rec. yds. mark the most he has registered as a member of the 49ers and the most in a single game since he tallied 89 rec. yds. in Week 6 of the 2022 season as a member of the Carolina Panthers [89 rec. yds. at LAR (10/16/22)].
- With 140 yds. from scrimmage, McCaffrey registered his 60th career game with 100-or-more yds. from scrimmage and his 23rd such game as a member of the 49ers.
- With 69 rushing yds. and 73 rec. yds. Week 1 at Sea. (9/7/25), 55 rushing yds. and 52 rec. yds. Week 2 at NO (9/14/25) and 52 rushing yds. and 88 rec. yds. on the day, McCaffrey became the first 49ers player since at least 1950 to register 50-or-more rushing yds. and 50-or-more rec. yds. in each of the first 3 weeks of the season. He also became the first NFL player to accomplish the feat since HOF RB Marshall Faulk in 2000.
- McCaffrey's 60 games with 100-or-more yds. from scrimmage are tied for the most among active NFL RBs.
