King of Props: DJ keeps the crowd entertained

In the first half of Sunday’s 42-21 loss to the Bengals, Panthers quarterback PJ Walker didn’t generate enough offense to gain a first down. He completed just three of his 10 attempts for a grand total of nine yards, with two of his passes getting intercepted. Second-half replacement Baker Mayfield fared considerably better, throwing for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but Walker is getting another start — and he should be feeding the subject of our top prop:

The bet: Over 58½ receiving yards for Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore (DraftKings)

Just a week prior, Moore made a spectacular diving catch in the end zone on a ball that Walker threw more than 65 yards. Since the play tied the game with just 12 seconds left in regulation, a made extra point likely would have ensured victory. But Moore was flagged for removing his helmet in celebration and kicker Eddy Piñeiro missed from the longer distance.

Atlanta won in overtime on that day and will be Carolina’s opponent again tonight. The Falcons allow exactly 300 passing yards per game, which ranks dead last in the league. Moore has exceeded this number in six of his last seven games against them, averaging 88 receiving yards per contest.

With that would-be game-winner and last week’s struggles fresh in their minds, both Walker and Moore will be looking to atone tonight. And we’ve already seen that the PJ-to-DJ connection can deliver this prop on a single play.
