For more than 20 years, the Raiders and Seahawks were both members of the AFC West and played each other twice a season. But since Seattle was reassigned to the NFC in 2002, it has hosted the Silver and Black only twice, with the most recent time being in 2014. That game saw running back Marshawn Lynch compile 143 yards from scrimmage (67 rushing, 76 receiving) in a Seahawks victory, and we’re looking for similar results from our top prop:
The bet: Over 93½ rushing and receiving yards for Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (FanDuel)
A second-round pick out of Michigan State, Walker has emerged as the favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Since becoming the starter in Week 6, he has topped 100 combined yards in three of Seattle’s five games.
His best performance came when he ran for 167 yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Chargers, but he didn’t have a single reception that day. In the last two weeks, Walker has regularly been deployed as a receiver, even lining up out wide occasionally. He has drawn 12 targets from resurgent quarterback Geno Smith, posting nine catches for 75 yards.
Over the same span that Walker has been starting, the Raiders rank 29th in rushing yards allowed per game. This number could easily be eclipsed on the ground alone, but including receiving yardage just adds to our confidence.
