Kliff Kingsbury has really helped his stock this NFL season, but is he ready to leave the Washington Commanders behind? On Monday afternoon, ESPN's Adam Schefter had an update on the impressive offensive coordinator.

During an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," Schefter said Kingsbury is very happy to be the offensive coordinator of the Commanders. We can't blame him for feeling that way. After all, he has an incredibly talented quarterback in Jayden Daniels. The No. 2 pick from the 2024 draft has all the makings of a superstar. While some might be waiting for him to struggle in the playoffs, he hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.

While a few teams have expressed interest in poaching Daniels' offensive coordinator, Schefter reported Monday that Kingsbury is in no rush to leave the Commanders.

"I think Kliff Kingsbury is very happy in Washington," Schefter said. "He has an incredible quarterback, a transcendent quarterback. Between making money in Arizona and having the head-coaching experience he did, he's not rushing to become a head coach again.

"Would he like to be one day? I'm sure, but it's not something he has to rush to go do. If the right opportunity comes along at the right time, I'm sure he'd be open to that. But he's not going to force that, and right now he's more focused on the NFC Championship Game."

Kingsbury knows how important it is to pick the right coaching situation. In four years with the Arizona Cardinals, he had a 28-37-1 record. The franchise made the playoffs during the 2021 season.

Every team with a head-coaching vacancy right now has a legitimate flaw, whether it's management or the quarterback situation. Kingsbury could spend one more year with Daniels as his quarterback while waiting for a premier job to open up.

Besides, Kingsbury is only 45 years old. He should get a second chance at being a head coach in the future.

For now, Kingsbury is focused on helping the Commanders get to the Super Bowl.
