San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk exited Sunday's 26-21 win over the New Orleans Saints late in the first quarter and did not return. The team confirmed the veteran sustained a concussion and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Afterward, Juszczyk's wife, Kristin Juszczyk, shared an encouraging update on Instagram to reassure fans.
"Kyle's doing okay you guys, thank you for everyone who's [asked]," she wrote, adding a heart emoji.

While San Francisco managed to hold off the Saints without their Pro Bowl fullback, Juszczyk remains a critical piece of Kyle Shanahan's offense. The hope is that he can make a full recovery and clear the NFL's concussion protocol in time for the home opener against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.
With Juszczyk sidelined, tight ends Jake Tonges and Luke Farrell stepped in to help fill the void.
"You don't get very many reps at fullback, and for Jake to be ready at fullback, and Luke to be ready to bounce back between Y and F, those guys are studs," Shanahan said after the game.
Juszczyk wasn't the only injury concern for the 49ers. Left guard Ben Bartch was ruled out with an ankle injury, while defensive backs Siran Neal and Upton Stout were evaluated for concussions but cleared to return.
