Week 4, first loss of the season for the San Francisco 49ers. Emotions ran high on the field as Jacksonville Jaguars’ HC Liam Coen pushed his players for the third victory while the Niners HC Kyle Shanahan wanted to keep his record clean. Alas, he couldn’t.
However, the highlight of the game was Coen exchanging words with the 49ers DC Robert Saleh. No one expected that.
But Shanahan fired back during the post-game conference when a reporter asked, “After the game, Liam and Salah were exchanging words. Are you surprised that, I assume over Steele, are you surprised that Cohen maybe wasn’t thrilled about that?“
The coach replied, “No, (I) tried to clear it up, but I didn’t see what happened, so I’m not sure.” But he then gave a strong four-word message to Coen, “(I don’t think) he should be that sensitive (about it).” The coach further added, “It is what it is. Not too worried about it.”
