Los Angeles Rams (0-2) running back Kyren Williams nearly executed a picture-perfect front flip after scoring a touchdown in the second quarter of Sunday’s Week 3 road tilt against the San Francisco 49ers (1-1).

Not only did Williams front flip into the end zone, but he secured himself some style points by hopping over 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga.

Williams, the third year back out of Notre Dame, is off to his best single game start this season. After being bottled up in the first two games, Williams rushed for 53 yards on 15 carries in the first half against San Francisco. But the highlight is the flip into the endzone, a 15-yard receiving score.

Kyren Williams leading Rams offense with Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua out

Williams’ performance is much needed for the Rams, who are dealing with several injuries on their offense. The star receiver tandem of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are both out. Nacua is on injured reserve with a PCL strain.

Head coach Sean McVay put an emphasis on getting the ground game going this week, and that’s exactly what’s happening.

“It’s really about the efficiency of the execution, the ability to hit blocks,” McVay said. “We have to do that to be able to sustain and run the ball efficiently. Get a hat on a hat and then hopefully we’ll be able to throw it.”
