LA LB Praises This Assistant Coach After Patriots Win
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers took down the New England Patriots by a score of 6-0 this weekend to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. It was an ugly game all around, but the team found a way to get the job done.

Rain poured down on the field throughout, making life tough on both sides, but the Bolts were able to win the field position battle. They won this game because of their special teams and defense doing their jobs.

Linebacker and special team player Nick Niemann praised special teams coordinator Ryan Ficken for his role in getting the win.

“He does a good job of putting us in good situations that are going to help us individually win and be successful on the field,” Niemann said. “In meetings, that standard’s the same. Every time on the practice field, we have one standard. No one is getting away with not doing everything up to our expectation as a unit.”

LA did the little things in the game to take down the Patriots. Against one of the worst teams in the league, they avoided the upset, but they know that there is still work to do.

They still have an uphill climb to get back into playoff contention, but LA is just taking things one game at a time. As far as they are concerned, they got the big victory, no matter how sloppy of a win it was.
