The Los Angeles Chargers are beginning to close out the hiring of their coaching staff. The team has officially announced the hiring of Greg Roman as offensive coordinator and Marcus Brady as passing coordinator.

Initially, Roman was announced as a hire for an offensive position, though he was not named OC. It could have been that the Chargers were still listening to his plan in terms of the offensive attack next season before making it official.

Roman has since been named OC. Roman spent a lot of time with Jim Harbaugh's brother, John, as he was the offensive coordinator of the team from 2019 to 2022. After his last stretch with the Ravens, he took a year off but is set to pick up where he left off in working his way up.

Brady was part of the Philadelphia Eagles staff through 2022 and 2023, starting as an offensive consultant and then as a senior offensive assistant. Brady will be responsible for bringing the best out of Justin Herbert.

The Chargers have spent quite a deal of time picking the right staff to return to AFC relevance. The team is far too stacked to have ended with the record they did last season, and toughness is the new motto with Harbaugh leading the way.

The 2024 season should be rather exciting for the organization and fans, especially with the recent hires. Harbaugh and company are looking to make a run at "multiple championships," which was the theme from both Harbaugh and new GM Jim Hortiz.

This is a new era for the Chargers, and there are some hugely inspirational hires that have now been brought in to turn this team around.
