Lamar Jackson makes incredible play to catch his own batted pass
Lamar Jackson Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson saved himself an interception during Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs with one of the most remarkable plays you will ever see.

The Ravens were trailing 14-7 midway through the second quarter and had 2nd-and-5 at their own 18. Jackson attempted a pass that was batted at the line scrimmage and went way up into the air. As multiple Chiefs players were waiting for it to fall into their hands, Jackson came out of nowhere to catch his own pass and gain 13 yards on the play.

Here’s another angle:

For those keeping score at home, that one goes as a 13-yard pass from Lamar Jackson to Lamar Jackson.

If Jackson had not sprinted out of the backfield and made an amazing play, the Chiefs likely would have taken over deep in Baltimore territory. While the Ravens ended up punting on the drive, saving the turnover was huge.

Jackson has been making incredible plays since he entered the NFL, but that one may have been the best of the bunch.
