Lamar Jackson sends warning about Ravens offense after Ronnie Stanley comments

The Baltimore Ravens improved to 6-5 on the season via a 23-10 home win over the lowly New York Jets (2-9) this past Sunday. Nevertheless, left tackle Ronnie Stanley said after that victory that the Ravens need to be better on offense to get to where they hope to be come February 2026.

While speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson responded to Stanley's take.

Lamar Jackson challenges the Baltimore offense "to do our job"

"I agree, absolutely. [We have] to put points on the board," Jackson explained, per Ryan Mink of the Ravens' website. "We can't keep putting [kicker Tyler Loop] out there on each and every drive, because there's going to be some times when we're going against a high-motor offense, and they might score a lot of points, and we're going to have to match those guys. So, we just have to do our job."

Jackson has looked a bit rusty since returning to the lineup in Week 9 after he missed three games because of a right hamstring injury. On Nov. 16, the Ravens needed to rely on a trick play to defeat a Cleveland Browns team that is currently 3-8. Against the Jets, Jackson passed for just 153 yards. He failed to reach 200 yards through the air over Baltimore's past three games, all of which the Ravens won.

That said, Jackson seemingly hasn't been fully healthy throughout the fall. Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk noted that Jackson has missed some practice time due to knee, ankle and toe issues in November.

On Tuesday, Jackson indicated he's not losing sleep over his personal numbers or over the physical setbacks he has endured since Week 1.

Lamar Jackson cares about one thing amid injury issues

"I don't think about that. We're winning, so that's what it's all about," Jackson added. "I can't control an injury. Things like that happen. Unfortunately, it's just happening at the wrong time, I believe. But we're winning."

The Ravens and 6-5 Pittsburgh Steelers will enter Week 13 sitting atop the AFC North standings. On Thursday night, Baltimore will host a Cincinnati Bengals side that should have starting quarterback Joe Burrow (toe) back in the lineup for the first time since Week 2.

As of Wednesday morning, ESPN BET had the Ravens as seven-point favorites over the Bengals.
