Lamar Jackson shares cryptic social media post

Lamar Jackson shared a cryptic message for some critics on social media early Wednesday morning, and the timing of the post does not seem like a coincidence.

Jackson, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, took to X to call out people who “like to lie” just to boost their views and engagement. The Baltimore Ravens star did not mention anyone by name.

“Bra yall (sic) gotta stop engaging with these people they like to lie when their views low that’s why I unfollow these weirdos,” Jackson wrote.

One of Jackson’s followers replied by telling the quarterback to “tag em,” but Jackson said he would rather not give the person more attention.

Jackson seemed to be taking aim at one specific person. However, many wondered if the two-time NFL MVP was responding to a story that was published on Tuesday by The Baltimore Sun, though that was attributed to multiple different reporters.

The Baltimore Sun story examined some of the things that have gone wrong for the 1-5 Ravens this season. It also detailed how head coach John Harbaugh has supposedly stripped Jackson and his teammates of certain locker room privileges, like having a basketball hoop and a pingpong table.

“The Ravens promptly removed several recreational staples from the locker room, including the basketball hoop near [Lamar] Jackson’s and [Trey] Flowers’ stalls, the pingpong table that rookies [Teddye] Buchanan and Mike Green often battled on after practice, the once-popular corn hole boards, and yes, the video game consoles, often lit up with intense rounds of Super Smash Bros., that regularly drew small crowds of teammates late in the day,” the story reads.

Again, Jackson suggested his beef was with one person. Perhaps he is just fed up with his critics in general, which would not be a surprise after he was accused of faking the injury that held him out for multiple games.

Jackson has a chance to return when the Ravens face the Chicago Bears on Sunday, though there has been no official word on his status.
