The Baltimore Ravens are shaking things up significantly by parting ways with one of Lamar Jackson’s most trusted coaches.
The Ravens have parted ways with quarterbacks coach Tee Martin, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Martin had been part of Baltimore’s staff since 2021.

The Ravens have a new head coach in Jesse Minter, so staff changes like this would not normally be seen as a big deal. This, however, is significant because of how close Martin and Jackson are known to be. Martin was quarterbacks coach when Jackson won his second MVP award, and the two are known to have a high level of mutual trust.
Ultimately, the Ravens may simply feel that Jackson needs a new voice in his ear. The decision may temporarily alienate the quarterback, however, which will make it vital for the team to get the hire right.
There was also speculation late in the season that the relationship between Jackson and then-coach John Harbaugh had deteriorated. Harbaugh is gone now as well, so maybe things are just evening out.
