Lamar Jackson's 'Madden' cover revealed

Lamar Jackson was announced as the next "Madden" cover athlete back in April and now, his cover has officially been revealed, with Madden's twitter account posting the cover featuring the reigning MVP.

Jackson is set to become the second "Madden" cover athlete for the Ravens, joining Ray Lewis who was chosen for "Madden 05." When the news was announced in April, Jackson said it was a dream come true for him.

"Ahh man! It’s another one I can put in the man cave. When I get my own copy of it, I am going to sign it myself and put it up. That’s how dedicated I am [laughs]," Jackson told SI in May. "I grew up playing Madden and owned every copy I could get my hands on, so to be on the cover of Madden NFL 21 is a dream come true. I don’t even remember where I was when I first learned that I will be on the cover. I was like you are lying to me. The guys at EA Sports was like ‘oh this is for real’, and I couldn’t believe it. It was a dream come true."

In his first full season as a starter, Jackson proved to immediately be an elite quarterback in the NFL. He scored a combined 43 touchdowns and was responsible for nearly 4,500 yards through the air and on the ground, all while leading the Ravens to a 14-2 record. Now, he gets the honor of gracing the cover of "Madden 21," which is set to be released on Aug. 28.
