With the offseason potentially coming to an end, and as teams start reinforcing and deciding their 52-man rosters... While the new additions to Baltimore’s offense may not help the team reach the next level, perhaps the answer may come from players who are returning from injury. And With the Ravens not being the most aggressive team as it comes to free agency, Eric DeCosta ended up putting a draft class together that fans maybe excited about.
The Ravens has multiple players recovering from injuries, some of these players may be instrumental keys to the teams 2025 season success... One of these names is receiver Zay Flowers, who received a knee injury during a matchup against the Browns. Another player they were also without, was second-year roster member Keaton Mitchell for most of the previous season. Mitchell attended five of the last games of the regular season, although he didn't preform at his usual fast levels.
With both studs achieving a full bill of health and in a mindset to hopefully dominate rival teams defenses in the upcoming season. Both players provided a few words for fans and media alike during OTAs, that some are saying show promise. here are the words they used to state their claims of being ready:
“I feel like I’m back better than when I first got here. It’s going to be a movie.” Said Mitchell. While on Tuesday Flowers stated. “My knee’s great, I feel 100%. I feel like I’m ready to go, ready for the season, no limits.”
It seems thotse claims may not be unfounded as the teams offensive coordinator Todd Monken stated that Flowers, who is in his third year as a receiver is “unbelievable."
Here's the exact quote: “We’ve just got to get him the ball more, he’s an unbelievable football player. He’s not only an outside receiver that has elite route-running skills, but he’s unbelievable with the ball in his hands. So you have a guy that really plays two spots. I’m not sure he can use that in his contract negotiations. But I’m just saying you can use him in a variety of roles to get him the ball, which allows your volume to go up. He’s a volume catch guy. You can use him in novelty screens, getting him the ball down the field. I expect him to take another leap. When you make it to the Pro Bowl, or you’re an All-Pro, you’re pretty good.”
Will the kind words ring true for the ravens? Only time will tell if the players coming back from injury will be enough edge to push the team into a successful playoff run.
