Brian Schottenheimer is in his first season as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. He has Dak Prescott back under center, and alongside top receiver CeeDee Lamb, the offense now features former Steelers wideout George Pickens.

The former fourth-round draft pick in 2016 is looking to get healthy and stay healthy after playing just eight games a season ago. Lamb and Pickens are expected to give Prescott a dangerous receiving duo heading into 2025. As training camp continued Saturday, Lamb spoke about the team’s expectations this season.

He was asked about teaming up with Pickens and expressed full confidence in the pairing.

“Whenever the ball goes up, we know we gotta handle our business,” Lamb said.

Lamb also talked about what it means to line up with another top receiver.

“Love looking down the sideline and seeing that guy there.”

He wrapped up the interview with a bold statement about the receiving corps:

“We like our chances out here.”

Lamb, 26, is entering his sixth season with the Cowboys. He’s appeared in 81 games and has 38 touchdown receptions. Dallas has made the playoffs in three of the past five seasons but missed out last year.

Pickens, a former Georgia Bulldog, was a second-round pick in 2022. After three seasons with the Steelers, he was traded to Dallas in May for a third and fifth-round pick in the 2026 draft.

Pickens has played in 48 games with 12 touchdown catches and one rushing score. Last season, he started 12 games and recorded 900 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The Steelers made the playoffs the past two seasons but lost both times in the wildcard round.

The new-look Cowboys receiving duo will be featured in the first NFL game of the 2025 season when Dallas visits the Philadelphia Eagles on September 4.
