The Las Vegas Raiders have claimed defensive tackle Jonah Laulu via waivers from the Indianapolis Colts the club announced Wednesday. A Las Vegas native, Laulu attended Centennial High School. Where he played on both sides of the ball and earned all-conference honors as a senior.
Laulu, a 6-5, 292-pound defensive tackle, was originally selected by the Colts in the seventh round (234th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft before being waived at final roster cutdowns.

Laulu spent four seasons at the University of Hawai’i (2018-21) before transferring to Oklahoma University where he played his final two seasons (2022-23). He appeared in 66 games (24 starts) over his college career and racked up 102 total tackles (52 solo), 27.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, one interception, three passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
The Raiders also picked up safety Thomas Harper who was waived by the Los Angeles Chargers. Harper, a 5-10, 195-pound cornerback, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chargers. Before being waived at final roster cutdowns.
Harper played four seasons at Oklahoma State University (2019-22) before transferring to Notre Dame for his final collegiate season. In 2023 as a member of the Fighting Irish. Harper played in 11 games (10 starts) and recorded 39 tackles (25 solo), six tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, three passes defensed, one quarterback hit and a forced fumble.
The Knoxville, Tenn. native played at safety and corner during his time at Notre Dame. He earned the nation’s sixth-best tackling grade (88.9) among cornerbacks in 2023, per Pro Football Focus.
