Las Vegas Raiders’ Antonio Pierce Reveals Shocking Goal
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Antonio Pierce, the newly appointed coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, has marked a significant milestone in his career, yet he views this achievement as merely the beginning of his journey.

During his tenure as interim coach in the previous season, Pierce demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the role, reflecting the dedication he has consistently shown throughout his football career.

In a recent episode of “The Pivot Podcast” on Tuesday, Pierce delved into his mindset regarding his relentless pursuit of excellence in his craft.

“I’m good with being AP, man. AP good without being the head coach. I was good as the linebacker coach. And I was going to be the best damn linebacker coach I could be. That was my goal. Now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders — my job is to be the best Raider coach of all time; that’s my goal.”

A lot of his goals will hinge on what the Raiders end up doing this offseason. They have a need to figure out who their long-term quarterback is going to be and quite a few holes to patch throughout the entire roster.

There is no question that Antonio Pierce had the Las Vegas Raiders playing competitive football after taking over for Josh McDaniels last season. That is why Maxx Crosby was so adamant about Mark Davis keeping Pierce and removing the interim tag from his title.

It will be interesting to see what Pierce and the Raiders are able to do over the next couple of years. The last few years have been rough for Las Vegas. Perhaps, bringing Pierce in as the permanent head coach will be the move that takes them back to contention in the AFC.
