Las Vegas Raiders could pair their two seventh-round picks to get two key players for the future
Melina Myers-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders are entering the 2024 NFL Draft with eight picks, which means they have two picks in one round. That isn't unheard of, as it happens often. However, the Raiders should capitalize on it, especially when you look at where their two picks in the same round fall. The Las Vegas Raiders have two picks in the seventh round.

As for the RB position, the Raiders still need depth behind Mattinson, White, and Abdullah. I feel like they won't address the position early in the draft, mainly because they shouldn't, so, maybe they do with one of their seventh round picks.

And, if they do, there is a guy who is being overlooked a bit that I feel like could be a great addition, and a guy who kind of stuns everyone at training camp. Why not take a guy like Laube, who many think is only as low as he is because he played at such a small school in New Hampshire.

Laube finished his college career with 749 rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns, 699 receiving yards, seven receiving touchdowns, and one kick returned for a touchdown.

As for their second pick, I could see them waiting until the end of the draft, or close to the end of the draft, taking a linebacker. It isn't one of their biggest needs, but it's certainly on the list.

The Raiders need some LB depth to add to the team, but it's not a must-have. They have Robert Spillane, Divine Deablo, Amari Burney, and a few others.

They can grab a guy like Tatum Bethune, who played a key role on an elite Florida State defense last year; Bethune finished his college career with 339 tackles, seven sacks, and four interceptions.

For some reason, one that I haven't quite been able to figure out yet, Bethune is pretty low on a lot of people's mock drafts and big boards. Several big analysts have him going in the seventh round, and I personally think he is one of the best five linebackers in this draft.

The Raiders can majorly improve their roster in the 2024 NFL Draft, and they can improve it in the seventh round alone.
