With how some of the most recent league-wide news is going, it feels like the Las Vegas Raiders are quickly running out of quarterback options in free agency, and it hasn't even started yet.
With Matthew Stafford staying with the Los Angeles Rams, and the news about the Minnesota Vikings wanting to get a deal done with Sam Darnold, there are really only a few options left. At this moment, it's really Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, and Aaron Rodgers. The fan base is pretty much split on all of those options, and that's understandable, but these are really the only upgrades at the position via free agency.
The 2025 NFL Draft is a different story for a different day. If they want to go both routes, they can, but going the free agency route doesn't leave them with as many options as we all thought they would originally have.
And while a lot of the fans don't want to hear this, it may be time to start embracing the idea of the Raiders and Aaron Rodgers working together. We know Maxx Crosby already is.
"I think with all of the doubt, and all of the negativity, 'oh he needs to retire, oh he's getting cut by the Jets,' things like that, I know he's 42 or 41 but I think he's going to have a big year this year. And I hope it's in our town. Come on down, it would be legendary," Crosby said on his podcast The Rush with Maxx Crosby.

Yes, Rodgers did have a bad year last season with the New York Jets. But, Crosby also said something that is very true -- the first year you come back after tearing your Achilles tendon is the hardest year. I'm sure there were a lot of tough moments for Rodgers last season, and getting the first season out of the way may help him a ton.
And let's be honest here for a second. Rodgers wasn't great, but he wasn't terrible, either. He still threw for just under 4,000 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, just 11 interceptions, and did all that while being sacked 40 times. Those numbers are much better than what the Raiders had last year.
