Las Vegas Raiders officially end an era after latest free agency moves
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders have officially ended an era after some of the latest league-wide free agency moves.

It's no secret that the Raiders have had a lot of turnover over the last twenty years or so, I guess you could say since the last time they won a playoff game. They have had several different regimes within the last five years, and they go through players fairly quickly, especially guys they draft.

Whether it be the Jon Gruden regime, Mike Mayock's regime, or even this last regime with Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler, the Raiders have not drafted great, and they haven't developed that talent well enough to keep it around long.

Now, another draft class is officially gone as the Raiders end another era. This time, it's the Raiders' 2020 draft class. All of the members of the class they drafted four years ago are no longer on the team. The last one remaining was cornerback Amik Robertson, who had just signed a deal with the Detroit Lions.

Now, the 2019 class is still somewhat intact. That class consisted of guys like Josh Jacobs, Maxx Crosby, and Hunter Renfrow. Now, one of those guys is only currently on the team, and he happens to be the best defensive player in the league in Maxx Crosby.

The phrase "the end of an era" has to be seen as a good thing, though. Many of these draft classes didn't really stick, and now this new regime is fixing to start getting its players in, which is where we will see what Telesco and Pierce are made of.
