Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty just did what hasn't been done since Bo Jackson and Marcus Allen

Ashton Jeanty finally had his breakout game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. All it took was the Las Vegas Raiders playing the worst run defense in the NFL, but he was great nonetheless, breaking tackles and scoring touchdowns.

After the game, the Raiders PR team tweeted out some pretty impressive stats regarding Jeanty and his career day.

"RB Ashton Jeanty is the sixth NFL rookie in the Super Bowl era to have a game with 2+ receiving touchdowns and 1+ rushing touchdowns. He joins De'Von Achane (2023), Chase Claypool (2020), Kareem Hunt (2017), Joey Galloway (1995), and Lynn Cain (1979). Jeanty is also only the fourth Raiders rookie to have 3+ scrimmage TDs in a single game, joining Bo Jackson (11/30/1987), Marcus Allen (12/18/1982), and Raymond Chester (10/25/1970)."

Jeanty is obviously not the Raiders' problem

In Week 4, Jeanty had two receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown, with 138 rushing yards on 21 carries, which comes out to 6.6 yards per carry. His two touchdown catches also went for 17 yards total, so Jeanty was kind of doing it all in this game, where he had done virtually nothing in the three games prior.

But, as we all know, that wasn't because of Jeanty. The previous games showed that the offensive line is just not good, especially in run blocking. Going into this week, Jeanty had 145 total rushing yards, and 144 of them were after contact, which means he is being hit at the line, or even behind it, almost instantly, because the line is letting defenders through.

Jeanty looks to be a star, and if the offensive line ever gets their stuff together, we could see similar games like this from him almost every week. Not to mention, the Raiders finally got that home run play they have been waiting on in the running game for so long now.

Now, the Raiders need Geno Smith and the pass game to get their stuff together, as Smith threw three interceptions on Sunday in a close loss to Chicago.
