The Las Vegas Raiders needed to address the off-ball linebacker position in the offseason, with multiple aging starters testing free agency. Elandon Roberts turns 32 in April, while Devin White turned 28 in February, and Jamal Adams turns 31 in October. Since the Raiders are in the middle of a rebuild, they would prefer to add younger talent to the position.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Raiders are set to sign Quay Walker to a three-year, $40.5 million contract with $28 million guaranteed. He spent the first four seasons with the Green Bay Packers and developed a reputation for being a consistent tackler with only 25 missed tackles and a 5.1% missed tackle rate during that span. The team also added Nakobe Dean to a three-year, $36 million deal with $20 million guaranteed. Both Walker and Dean, college teammates at the University of Georgia, reunite in Las Vegas.

Quay Walker had a solid fourth season, setting career highs in tackles and sacks, though he struggled in coverage. He recorded 134 tackles, nine TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and seven pass deflections across 15 starts, having missed two games due to a stinger injury. Walker also posted 13 pressures, 29 run stops, and allowed six touchdowns and a 122.9 passer rating, according to PFF.
