The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback situation literally could not be worse.
First, they signed Gardner Minshew this offseason with the intention of making him the starter if they don't get one in the 2024 NFL Draft. And, they didn't, so they made Minshew the starter.
Minshew was bad, they benched him and made Aidan O'Connell the starter. O'Connell broke his thumb on his throwing hand and is out indefinitely. Minshew becomes the starter again. They sign Desmond Ridder and make him the backup.
On Sunday against the Denver Broncos, Minshew gets hurt late in the game. Ridder has to come in and everything just looks bad.
After the game, Antonio Pierce mentioned that Minshew's injury didn't look good. He didn't sound positive about it at all.
"Left shoulder there, we will know more, but it doesn't look good," Pierce said.
Then, a report came through.
According to Ian Rappoport, NFL Network's insider, Minshew has broken his collar bone and will be out for the rest of the season. This means Ridder will likely be the starter for the rest of the year, and the Raiders will be forced to sign another quarterback to add to the roster for depth.

Just a terrible situation.
They will face the Kansas City Chiefs next, and then the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, and New Orleans Saints.
