GLENDALE – After Thursday’s practice, the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers released players’ participation on their latest injury report. Notably names for Arizona was rookie CB Will Johnson remaining out of practice due to a groin injury, with his status for Sunday unknown. For San Francisco much of their key players, like Christian McCaffrey and Nick Bosa, missed Wednesday practice but just because of rest.
However, starting 49ers QB Brock Purdy remains limited in practice, with doubt surrounding him playing in Week 3.
San Francisco battled injuries all last year and still have struggled to keep healthy with key players in and out of the lineup. Arizona has had the same problem during training camp, losing two starting cornerbacks, and then last week with two players, Garrett Williams and L.J. Collier, were added to injury reserve.
