DK Metcalf came to be one of the best WRs in the league during his time with the Seattle Seahawks.
So much so that the Pittsburgh Steelers, of all teams, traded a second-round pick and paid him top-five money at his position.
And if the latest schedule leak is true, Metcalf will receive a chance to get back at his former team very early on in 2025...
Sources: The Steelers will host the Seahawks in Week 2 for their home opener, which will also be DK Metcalf’s first game against his former team.

It should be noted that Metcalf was the one who initiated the trade by requesting one, but if you think he won't be motivated to show his former team what they're missing, think again.
A two time Pro Bowler who averaged 77 receptions, over 1,100 receiving yards and eight TDs during his six years in Seattle, Metcalf was ready for a change after feeling like an outsider on the team that drafted him...
"We [select group of Seahawks] were the only six people left from that 2019 team, the team that felt that real camaraderie in the building," Metcalf said. "Now when you start switching out OCs, switching out head coaches, you start getting different messages from what you're used to. The Pete [Carroll] messages were gone. So now it was just six outsiders trying to get a new message."
The outsiders he is likely referring to would be head coach Mike Macdonald, who was surely apart of the push that Urlimatkey lead general manager John Schneider to part ways with one of the best WRs in the league for a second-round pick.
Unlike the leaked Steelers Week 1 opponent, however, there will be no homecoming for Metcalf the same way there may be for his potential quarterback.
Don't expect Metcalf to be any less motivated, however, as he takes on his former team for the first time in what would be his inauguration into a Steelers home game.
