The Cardinals are counting on second year wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in a big way in 2025.
Arizona selected Harrison with the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He had a solid rookie season overall, catching 62 passes for 885 yards and eight touchdowns, but those aren't quite WR1 numbers.
Now with a year under his belt, expectations will be higher for Harrison. The Cardinals have shown him a vote of confidence by not making any significant changes to their WR corps during the offseason.
Of course, Harrison can always lean on his father (Marvin Harrison Sr.) for mentorship, as he is a Hall of Fame WR who played 13 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. However, some have wondered if Harrison Jr. has ever worked with legendary Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, who will be eligible for the HOF in 2026.
While at Kyler Murray’s first annual charity softball game, Fitzgerald said he is always available for Harrison if he needs anything.
"I've got a chance to spend a couple of times with him, probably five or six," Fitzgerald said about Harrison. "He's a lovely young man. I just try to stay out the way. If he ever needs anything, I told him I'm always available for him in any way I can be helpful. But fortunately, he has a father who was a heck of a lot better than I was, so he can tap into him whenever he likes."
“I saw a guy who made a lot of plays," Fitzgerald continued on about Harrison's rookie year. "He did a really good job. When the ball came to him, he made his plays. He’s only gonna continue to get better so I’m excited to see his Year 2."
"He knows I'm available, but unfortunately he has a father who was a heck of a lot better than I was."

If Harrison can elevate his game to Pro Bowl or All-Pro level, the Cardinals' offense should take a major step forward. He's going to face some pressure moving forward of not only being Arizona's No. 1 WR, but living up to Harrison Sr. and Fitzgerald's NFL careers.
