It's been two months since the stabbing incident in Indianapolis that saw former NFL quarterback and broadcaster Mark Sanchez nearly killed and subsequently arrested for his part in it.
There were a lot of factors that led to Sanchez's stabbing. One of them was Sanchez reportedly being intoxicated when he confronted 69-year-old truck driver Perry Tole.
As Tole and Sanchez prepare for Sanchez's criminal trial in March, Tole is also suing Sanchez and recently added the restaurant where Sanchez was reportedly drinking at beforehand to his lawsuit. The restaurant in question is the iconic St. Elmo Steak House, a popular spot for some of the city's football fans and biggest sports figures.
But the restaurant is vehemently denying any culpability in Tole's injuries.
According to the New York Post, the restaurant's parent company Huse Culinary has denied allegations that St. Elmo served alcohol to a "visibility intoxicated" Sanchez prior to the stabbing.

The decision to add St. Elmo to the lawsuit at all comes at a time when Fox Corporation, Sanchez's employer at the time and another defendant in the case, it trying to get the lawsuit moved to federal court.
Fox's legal counsel have argued that the effort to add St. Elmo as a defendant is part of an effort to keep the lawsuit local rather than being moved federally.
"In a Dec. 22 filing, Fox Corporation points out Sanchez and itself are both out-of-state defendants. It goes on to claim the parent company of St. Elmo Steak House, Indiana-based Huse Culinary, was “fraudulently joined” to the lawsuit with the sole intention of preventing the case from moving to federal court," Tim Spears of WISH TV reported earlier this week.
"Sanchez, 38, is a California resident, and Fox is a Delaware corporation, with its principal place of business in New York."
Sanchez spent a decade in the NFL before embarking on a pretty successful broadcasting career.
However, the incident led FOX to fire Sanchez in the middle of the season.
