Quarterback Stetson Bennett is expected to participate in Rams offseason workouts, team general manager Les Snead indicated when he met with the media on Monday.

Snead added Bennett has been in touch with Rams quarterback coach Dave Ragone while taking his first steps to a football return, working with trainers in Dallas.

"What we've done is, Dave Ragone, our new quarterback coach, had a relationship with Stetson from last year's draft, being in Atlanta, so I know Dave's step one was him connecting with Stetson and rekindling their relationship," Snead said at the NFL Annual Meeting.

"I know he's in Dallas working out. I know Dave has shown some clips of Stetson working out at the place where, I'm pretty sure it's where he trained coming out, but I know it's in Dallas. So he's looking good. So right now our plan is to onboard him for our offseason workouts."

There has been a lot of interest and curiosity surrounding Bennett since he missed the entirety of his rookie season for the Rams due to undisclosed personal reasons, originally selected by Los Angeles with the No. 128 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Bennett had an up-and-down preseason with the team, going 30-for-62 passing with 307 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions over those outings.

It's clear he's on the right track, as Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said when he spoke at event in Macon, Ga. earlier in the month.

“Stetson is doing well," Smart said. "He went back to Dallas where he trained last year. He trained with Patrick Mahomes’ trainers and different people there. He wanted to go back to that same footprint where he was training previously.”

It will be interesting to see how things ultimately shake out for Bennett and if he remains with the Rams for the long-term but it is clear the two-time national champion is on a positive trajectory.
