LeSean McCoy bluntly told Adoree' Jackson what he needs to do next with Eagles

After the Eagles' disappointing loss to their division rival, the New York Giants, in Week 6, Philadelphia legend and NFL Hall of Fame nominee LeSean McCoy had some choice words for cornerback Adoree' Jackson.

McCoy took to social media to relay his disgust for Jackson's effort on a Cam Skattebo rushing touchdown in which Jackson had a clear pathway to make a tackle for loss.

"It’s time to RETIRE come on bro… this crazy super SOFT WOW"

McCoy didn't hold back on Jackson needing to step away from football

McCoy had no problem mincing words against the former first-round pick out of USC, as Jackson has been getting criticism for his "soft" play in addition to his play in coverage as well. It wasn't just Skattebo's touchdown that drew criticism; Jackson was also seen throughout the night throwing his shoulder into Giant ball carriers instead of wrapping up and driving his legs.

Jackson's play before week six hasn't been up to the standard that Vic Fangio has demanded of his cornerbacks, either. After starting week one, he gave himself a "C" for his performance and then dealt with injuries early in the season as well. Jackson has even been benched in favor of Kelee Ringo, who himself has struggled as well. Both players found themselves back on the field because of an injury to Quinyon Mitchell, which forced them into action.

As far as retirement? Maybe McCoy isn't out of line. He's in his ninth NFL season and has earned $52,971,480 million dollars, according to Spotrac. Jackson has reached the coveted "second" contract and is a vested NFL veteran currently in a stage of his career where he is on a one-year contract, often compared to "mercenary work".

With Jackson now in his age-30 season, it may be getting to the point where his NFL career is slowly coming to an end. Regardless, with an ineffective Ringo and a possible injury to Mitchell, Jackson will have eleven more weeks to prove he's worthy of continuing his NFL career. With efforts like the one McCoy pointed out, that'll do plenty to give the Eagles (and other NFL teams) a reason to no longer require his services.
