How has Shedeur Sanders looked in the Cleveland Browns’ rookie minicamp so far? The opinions have varied, but one analyst says Sanders has been the best player there.
The Browns held their rookie minicamp from May 9-11. Former NFL running back LeSean McCoy said on FS1 show “The Facility” Monday that he was told Sanders was the best player at the rookie minicamp.
“I got my sources. They told me he looks like the best player in the whole camp,” McCoy said.
McCoy says Sanders has the mindset of someone who has plans to start, not someone who was a 5th-round pick.
“He gonna start, and he gonna start early this year,” McCoy said.
.@CutOnDime25 believes Shedeur Sanders will start early this season:

The Browns have Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Deshaun Watson, in addition to rookies Sanders and Dillon Gabriel.
ESPN Cleveland radio host Tony Grossi said that he thought Gabriel looked slightly better for the first few days.
“I thought Gabriel was a little bit better both days. Doesn’t mean Shedeur Sanders is a best or anything. Just, the other guy looks better,” Grossi said.

This matter is going to be heavily debated. But it ultimately might not matter too much. The Browns are shaping up to be a bad team, regardless of who plays quarterback for them in 2025. Cleveland is coming off a 3-14 season, a year after they went 11-6 and made the playoffs. Gabriel was a third-round pick by the team, and they took Sanders when he was still around in the 5th round.
