Le'Veon Bell could debut for Ravens in Week 4 against Broncos?

The Baltimore Ravens' injury-ravaged backfield could be getting a significant boost this weekend.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, veteran running back Le'Veon Bell could make his Ravens debut on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

Bell has been on Baltimore's practice squad, but Garafolo notes there's a high chance that will change this weekend. Still, Bell will be competing for playing time alongside Devonta Freeman, Latavius Murray and Ty'Son Williams.

The Ravens signed Bell this season after J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards were ruled out with season-ending knee injuries. The 29-year-old isn't what he once was for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he's still a valuable asset to any team.

Bell spent the 2020 season with the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets, running for 328 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games. The three-time Pro Bowler signed with the Chiefs after a season-and-a-half with the Jets, who ended up releasing him.

Bell was one of the best running backs in the NFL when he broke onto the scene in 2013 with the Steelers. He had three 1,000-plus-yard rushing seasons in Pittsburgh but hasn't been able to rejuvenate his career after sitting out the 2018 campaign due to a contract dispute.

At this point, though, the Ravens could use any help they can get in the backfield. Quarterback Lamar Jackson leads the team with 251 yards and two touchdowns rushing.

Baltimore is second in the AFC North with a 2-1 record, while Denver is surprisingly 3-0 behind quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
