Le'Veon Bell sees a chance to 'reinvent' himself with Chiefs

After being released by the New York Jets and signing with the Kansas City Chiefs, Le'Veon Bell joins a team full of star-studded talent, including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill, among others.

Bell revealed Wednesday that he's fine with not getting the chance to be a star in Kansas City behind those players, saying the opportunity with Andy Reid's squad is a chance to revamp his career, according to ESPN's Adam Teicher:

"I played at a high level for so long,'' Bell said, referring to his five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. "I had two years [with the New York Jets] where it has not been a high level and people kind of look at it like that. So I wanted to get here, get my feet back under me, get in a good offense, get the ball when I can [and] not have too much pressure on me, just play football.

"I think coming here will give me the opportunity to do that. There are a lot of [good] players. I don't necessarily have to worry about how many times I'm touching it.''

Bell also added that the chance to play for Reid and with Mahomes was an "undeniable" opportunity.

While Reid wouldn't comment on whether or not Bell would be in the lineup on Sunday, the running back indicated that he would be ready if called upon.

After being released by New York, Bell tweeted that he has "a lot to prove" going forward, and he'll certainly be put to the test throughout the remainder of the season in Kansas City's bid to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

In two games this season, the 28-year-old has 19 carries for 74 yards and three receptions for 39 yards.
