‘Lies’: NFL Fans Angry NBC Announced Kansas City Chiefs Peacock Game Is ‘Most-Streamed’ Event In US History
Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

NFL fans weren’t happy with the way NBC rubbed the ratings from the Kansas City Chiefs’ wins over the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night. The broadcast was exclusively shown on Peacock’s over-the-top streaming service outside of Miami and Kansas City.

Fans were upset about the broadcast being placed on Peacock, as the streaming service charged viewers to watch the game Saturday night. The NFL was granted an anti-trust exemption from Congress on TV rights. And the league is stretching that exemption by exploiting viewers during playoff games.

To add insult to injury, NBC decided it was a good idea to brag about their ratings from Saturday night during the Detroit Lions Wild Card matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Peacock is claiming it was the most streamed event in the US.
