Njoku Is Involved With Team In Offseason

We know that Njoku is spending time this week in Austin, Texas with Baker Mayfield and other offensive players working out, throwing together, and team building.

He is also scheduled to play in Jarvis Landry‘s celebrity softball game this weekend.

Then, Njoku is expected in Berea, along with the rest of the Browns roster, for mandatory minicamp beginning June 15.

Njoku Is Committed To The Browns

Though Njoku waivered in the past about whether he wanted to play for the Cleveland Browns, he has been steadfast in his commitment lately.

This is good news for the Browns offense and its fans because Njoku is a playmaker who can shine in Coach Stefanski’s multiple tight end schemes.

Going into 2021, a healthy and energized Njoku is exactly what the Browns need to be competitive and to improve on their 2020 offensive performance.

In 2020, Njoku caught 19 passes for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns.

He was targeted 29 times.

Njoku’s career best season was 2018 when he caught 56 passes for 639 yards and scored 4 touchdowns.

He was targeted 88 times during that 2018 season.

Let’s hope Njoku’s 2021 numbers are more reminiscent of 2018.
