Lions give big injury updates on David Montgomery and Jonah Jackson and more

The Detroit Lions really needed that bye week to get over some big injuries. The Lions went into that Monday night win over the Raiders without starting running back David Montgomery, starting guard Jonah Jackson and starting center Frank Ragnow. The first two have missed multiple games. 

The Lions are now back from the bye and with that comes some big updates on all three of these guys. Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell spoke with the media on Monday and here's what he had to say:

"All three of those guys moved around today." Campbell said. "They were out there. You know today it was really more priming the pump getting ready for tomorrow. But we did some induvial, some group and did a special team segment. And they were all involved. All three of those guys. 

When asked if they could be back on Sunday, Campbell said "Yeah, I think so. We'll see tomorrow when we pad them up, but they've been trending the right way for a while now. So, certainly hopeful."

Montgomery went down with a rib injury against the Buccaneers in Week 6 and he's been out ever since. Before the Raiders game in Week 8, Montgomery was working with trainers on the sideline all week. 

Jackson has been out since hurting his ankle against the Panthers in Week 5. The Lions did not put him on injured reserve, but he's missed practices and games for the last three weeks. 

Ragnow popped up on the injury report with a calf injury right before their Monday night game and it kept him out of practice all week. Still, the Lions only gave him a doubtful designation and then they waited till the very last minute to declare him out for their game against the Raiders.
