The Detroit Lions have responded well to adversity under head coach Dan Campbell. It's the one thing that Lions fans love about Campbell and his teams: their grit and their ability to bounce back after losses.
The Lions have become one of the best teams in the NFL, winning after a loss. Detroit has won its last 11 games following a defeat. The streak started in the 2022 season, when the Lions defeated the Green Bay Packers in their week 9 matchup with a 1-6 record.
The Lions went on to finish that season with a 9-8 record on the brink of the NFL playoffs, which helped set the tone for the success to come.
The win against the Packers in 2022 started a special run for the Lions, which has featured two consecutive NFC North division championships, two playoff wins, and a franchise-best 15-2 regular season in 2024.
Now in 2025, the Lions roared back once again after suffering a brutal 27-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers in their season opener. With fans already concerned, the Lions showed their fans what they do best by putting on an electrifying offensive performance and beating the Chicago Bears 52-21 in their home opener at Ford Field.
The Lions are set to face off against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football on the road. The last time the Lions faced the Ravens in 2023, they were dominated 38-6. The Lions are hoping to avoid a repeat of that type of loss on Monday and are hoping to come out of Baltimore with a win.
Many are predicting the Lions to lose to the Ravens, which presents Campbell's group with the perfect opportunity to do what they do best: prove the doubters wrong. Even if the Lions do lose a hard-fought game to one of the best teams in the NFL, they are set up nicely to win their 12th straight game following a loss: the Lions will play the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 28 at home after the Monday night game against the Ravens.
