The Detroit Lions won the NFC North Division last season and followed it up with new contracts and contract extensions for veteran players including Tim Patrick, Shane Zystra and Derrick Barnes among others.

The Lions will take part in the 2025 NFL draft later this week, a key event that is expected to arrive amid controversy surrounding one of the Lions' top players, fourth year wide receiver Jameson Williams

Recently, Williams turned heads with comments on the importance of loyalty shared amid trade rumors.

Now, Williams' future with the team has come under additional scrutiny as the former first round pick and Alabama Crimson Tide star under Nick Saban has made a move on social media that has the sports world talking.

Williams was not following the Detroit Lions on Instagram as of Tuesday afternoon.

Williams has been mentioned as a potential trade candidate by NFL writer Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.

Last season, Williams had 1,001 yards receiving along with 58 receptions and seven touchdowns in Detroit while thrilling fans with a variety of big plays.

He was selected 12th overall in the 2022 draft by the Lions and has significantly improved his catch and yardage numbers with each passing season.
