The Detroit Lions are 6-4 and behind both the Chicago Bears (7-3) and Green Bay Packers (6-3-1) in the NFC North standings.
The Lions won five of six games before the Week 8 bye, but they have lost two of the last three, falling to the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles.
After earning the top seed in the NFC last year, there were high hopes once again in Detroit.
The Lions have a winnable game against the New York Giants in Week 12 and then an important NFC North game against the Packers on Thanksgiving, so there is time for them to gain ground in the standings.
This season, Lions star defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson has been a huge force on defense once again.
He tied for 10th in the NFL with 7.5 sacks and has 21 tackles.
Now, he has joined star pass rusher Micah Parsons in an exclusive club.
"Since QB hits began being officially tracked in 2006," the Lions posted on X, "only two @NFL players have logged at least 15 QB hits, 7.5 sacks and 7 TFLs in each of their first four-career seasons: -@Lions EDGE @aidanhutch97 - Micah Parsons."

This is Hutchinson's fourth year in the NFL after he was selected No. 2 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.
His stats have him joining Parsons, the Green Bay Packers EDGE, as the only two to accomplish such a feat in the last 20 years, so it's quite a testament to how good Hutchinson is.
Hutchinson had 9.5 sacks as a rookie, then a career-high 11.5 in 2023 and 7.5 sacks in 2024 despite playing just five games.
The former Michigan Wolverines star continues to perform like one of the best at his position in the NFL.
Detroit hosts the New York Giants (2-9) at 1 p.m. ET Sunday on Fox.
