The Detroit Lions dropped Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, taking their record to 6-4. They are now third in the NFC North.
Jameson Williams equalized with a touchdown pass from Jared Goff in the second quarter, but the Eagles reclaimed the lead with a touchdown of their own. Ultimately, the scoreline read 16-9.
Despite the result, running back Jahmyr Gibbs kept piling up numbers on Sunday. The third-year running back had a big night in Philadelphia. Detroit lost, but Gibbs did not.
Gibbs caught five passes for 107 yards against the Eagles. It was the first 100-yard receiving game of his career. The performance stood out because it is rare for a Lions running back to reach that mark through the air.
The receiving night pushed Gibbs’ season totals past another landmark. Through 10 games, he had 1,066 yards from scrimmage and 10 scrimmage touchdowns.
No Lions running back has posted at least 1,000 scrimmage yards and 10 scrimmage TDs through a team’s first 10 games of a season since Barry Sanders did it in 1991. Sanders’ 1991 season is widely referenced as one of the franchise’s high-water marks for a running back.

Gibbs’ 107 receiving yards were also the first 100-plus receiving performance by a Lions running back since Reggie Bush produced 101 receiving yards in a game in 2013.
Detroit missed key third- and fourth-down conversions that would have prolonged drives and created more chances for Gibbs and the offense. Their next showing in Week 12 comes against the New York Giants, where Jaxson Dart is expected to return after concussion protocol.
