Lions Make Jared Goff Announcement During Cowboys Game

The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys played in an offensive outburst on "Thursday Night Football."

The Lions had a 20-9 lead at halftime, but the two teams combined for 45 second-half points with the Lions winning the game, 44-30.

Jahmyr Gibbs led the way with 12 carries for 43 yards, but he had three touchdowns. Daid Montgomery had six carries for 60 yards and a score, and Jared Goff threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa.

Dak Prescott threw for 330 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, and Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey was busy with five field goals in the game.

While the running game paved the way for the Lions, Goff did ot make some history in the process.

This marked Goff's 19th consecutive game with a passing touchdown, and the Lions revealed he is part of an exclusive franchise club.

Goff entered the game with 25 touchdowns, second in the NFL behind only Los Angeles Rams QB and former Lions signal-caller Matthew Stafford.

Goff had back-to-back two-touchdown games coming in, but he has thrown at least one score in every regular-season game this year.

It's been a strong season for Goff, and he is now just 11 passing touchdowns shy of tying his career high.

The Lions will have some extra time off before facing the Rams on Sunday, December 14, in LA. If he throws a score in that game, he will break the franchise record against Stafford in a unique twist.
