The Detroit Lions have released cornerback Terrion Arnold following his arrest on multiple felony charges.

Arnold was arrested last week in Tampa on four counts of armed robbery and four counts of kidnapping. He had his initial court appearance Monday morning, at which point a judge set his bail at $1 million, per multiple reports.

The charges against Arnold case a possible maximum sentence of life in prison, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Arnold's charges stem from an incident that took place back in February that was connected to a previous robbery of Arnold's property.

A first-round pick (24th overall) out of Alabama in the 2024 NFL Draft, Arnold has appeared in 24 games (22 starts) for the Lions over the past two seasons since entering the league, tallying 18 pass breakups and one interception. He missed nearly half of the 2025 season with a shoulder injury that required surgery.
