On Saturday, the Denver Broncos, led by their star quarterback Russell Wilson, went against the Detroit Lions in their week 15 matchup. Ahead of the Broncos’ tough road game, the Lions were involved in some mind plays as they continuously played Future’s songs while Wilson was warming up at Ford Field.

Future is the ex-boyfriend of Russell’s wife Ciara Wilson. So, the Lions might’ve thought they could distract Wilson by playing his songs.

According to the MLive.com reporter Kory E. Woods, there were only Future’s songs playing in the speakers at Ford Field for more than 25 minutes while Russell and the Broncos were practicing. It was only after the Broncos quarterback left the field that they stopped blasting Future’s songs.

It's been nothing but Future's hits being played at Ford Field for the past 25 minutes as the Lions-Broncos warmed up. Only when they walked off did the music change. That is some sensational trolling. Kory E. Woods reported

Russell and Ciara Wilson dated for nearly two years before tying the knot in 2016. Before her relationship with Wilson started, Ciara was dating rapper Future and was even engaged to him. They also had a child together, but they decided to split in 2014.

Now. Russell Wilson and the ‘Level Up’ singer have been together for nearly a decade and are raising four children together, including Ciara’s kid from her relationship with Future, Zahir.

Russell and Ciara Wilson haven’t been getting along with Future and have beefed in the past. Most recently Ciara once laughed off at a question about co-parenting with her ex-boyfriend. Besides, the rapper has taken multiple digs at the Broncos quarterback in his songs, but Russell has stayed quiet the entire time.

The Lions’ tactics to play Future songs might’ve worked on Russell Wilson

As previously mentioned, the Lions blasted Future’s songs at Ford Field, while the Broncos and Russell Wilson were warming up for the game. It seemed like their mind play worked as the Broncos suffered a brutal loss on Saturday.

Wilson didn’t have an ugly game, but he couldn’t keep his offense firing in their crucial week 15 game. He only completed 18 of his 32 pass attempts for just 223 yards and 1 touchdown.

In the end, he couldn’t help his team outscore the Detroit-based football team. As a result, the Broncos suffered a 42-17 loss and fell to a 7-7 record. However, they are still in the hunt for a postseason spot and would look to win out their remaining games, starting with their week 16 game against the New England Patriots next weekend.
