The wait for the Detroit Lions to add to their pass rush has really dragged on for their fans this offseason.
They have been linked to just about every notable edge rusher who has been available this offseason and even some who weren't actually available.
Now it's been almost three months since free agency opened and the NFL Draft has already passed, but the only addition they've made came in the sixth round of the draft.
That has many hoping there is still another move to come.
Bleacher Report's Moe Moton thinks that move should involve a player who has spent the last two seasons playing for one of the Lions' NFC North rivals.
In an article identifying one move each NFL team still needs to make before the start of the 2025 season, Moton urged the Lions to sign former Chicago Bears edge DeMarcus Walker.
The Lions have already met with Walker earlier this offseason, but didn't end up getting a deal done.
At the time, I didn't believe he was the answer the Lions needed and it seems the organization agreed.
Walker would be fine as a depth addition for a team that already has their starters set for their pass rush.
He had 3.5 sacks in each of his two seasons with the Bears and produced 39 total pressures in 2024.
He just isn't much of an upgrade over Marcus Davenport and the team may have already taken care of their depth by drafting Ahmed Hassanein.
Lions fans will continue to hope their team still has something up their sleeve to boost the pass rush before the season begins, but doing Walker feels like it would be making a move just to make a move.
The Lions should either think bigger or just stick with what they already have.
