On Monday, Ohio State defeated Notre Dame to win this year's national championship in the College Football Playoff.
The game took place in Atlanta, Georgia at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, one of the NFL stadiums that is rotated through the College Football Playoff for the title game.
Next year's game will be played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, the home of the Dolphins.
With next year's game set, organizers are looking to secure a location for the 2027 edition of the game.
In 2027, organizers say the College Football Playoff national championship game will be played in Las Vegas for the first time.

The game will be played at the state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium, offering a chance for college fans to watch a game in one of the best football facilities on the planet.
"College football fans across the country are going to be thrilled to hear this news today," said Rich Clark, the College Football Player's executive director.
"Las Vegas has shown the world they have amazing venues and boundless energy to host an event like the College Football Playoff National Championship in spectacular fashion. I can't think of a better stage to crown the best team in college football in 2027."
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) was also happy to hear the news, reacting after the announcement.
"Pairing the energy of Las Vegas with the College Football Playoff National Championship will make for a truly extraordinary event, both on and off the field," said LVCVA president and CEO Steve Hill.
"We appreciate the opportunity the CFP has provided us to welcome college football's greatest athletes and biggest fans for an unmatched national championship experience in the city built for celebration."
Vegas will become the third city in the Pacific time zone to host the national title game, as it has previously been held in Los Angeles and the Bay Area of California.
We'll have to wait two years to find out which teams make it to Las Vegas to play one another, but at least we have an idea of what things may look like after Las Vegas hosted an excellent Super Bowl last year.
